$60 refill...

well...

got to buy another gallon of the same paint, and this time no clear coat..... and have Dave put it on thicker. Blood is not blood when thinned out with conservatism... I wanted a darn massacre.

This coat will just show us where to work it some more, and will work as a good primer.

upon delivery, a strap slipped, and the car rolled back on the trailer and hit some ramps...but the next paint job will cover it. Along with one of those over sized CF wings.

still a lot of work ahead, and re-shoot it again. At least now I don't have to worry about scratching the paint while I fab up everything.

I don't know, Clay.....that looks pretty impressive to me the way it is.

If you intend to cover the gouges on the rear anyway, you might save yrslf some $ and live with it as it is.......

I'm picturing it with lights and a little chrome, and I think it's gonna look pretty sharp.

Phrog? what do you think?

Its hard to see in the photos, but the paint has a lot wrong with it. Swirl marks, unevenness, wrinkling, the obvious gouges in the hatch caused by a delivery day mishap. For the amount of time it was at the painters place and the paints that were used it should have looked a lot better. The guy even admitted it was terrible, and he was pretty embarrassed about it. But it still shouldn't have been delivered like that. Clay asked for a simple spray job, the painter tried to elaborate and make it fancy, got in over his head/had a bad day.

I can't really tell you you're wrong. As for the car looking better with the additions you discussed;

Can't really prove you wrong. But in my opinion, it could have been better. A lot better.

Well, I guess there's not much chance of anybody actually getting 'run over' by this car ~ nothing would fit underneath it. You could hi-center it on a squirrel.

But you could sure do a lot of ankle damage with it. 8) If you left it at 4" ground clearance, I wonder if your floorjack would actually fit under it?

You're seeing the car with dry weight.
With fuel and a driver, it will be flat on the ground.
Sort of like those airbag-lowered customs you see.
Then it would low-center on a snake.
Maybe even a worm!

Zman (Mike), I got gas and wire today...so any welding is possible....I even got a bottle of full argon...so aluminum welding is very possible. $280 on my Macy's card

remember...no engine, no nothing yet and thats how low it sits. and also...the crazy suspension is not fully on yet as well....with the tires...

it might be 2 inches off the ground....
