This looks to be a truly special event. It's pretty rare that you find one of these kinds of shows around these days...Thanks for the tip!

I just returned from walking and filming two hours at this great event. Those of you who went don't need any description of how wonderful this annual free car show is.

Those who missed it ~ LOST!

There were many sports cars, including some MGBs, two MGAs, several mid-60s Austin Healeys, two Ferraris, some Fake Snakes, an E-Type coupe, and a Best in Show 1938 Jaguar SS-100. I did see a pristine 1972 Datsun 710 2-dr sedan, but there was not a single Z Car of any era there. We have to remedy that next year! (A 1958 Chevy 2 dr Impala with an implanted 409 took 2nd place. It was very nice, but I've seen Z cars in our own club which would have scored as well or even higher).

The sad thing about this great show is that it only happens once a year, and now it's gone until 2009. It has become my goal to have #02807 presentable enough to show there next year. I would love to have a string of Z cars lined up on either side of me!

Z ya there!

Wow! What a great site! I'm keeping that one.

Thanks Airjockie.

And I've seen your car ~ if you show it in this state, you're going home carrying a trophy.

it's just a rat rod...but in full datsun/nissan flavor. I think I got the wiring figured out, so it should run tomorrow. Swing by in the afternoon if you have some time.

I took 90 minutes of DVD, but don't know how to make stills out of that, or how to post it here.

The link has a really good shot of last year's event, and this years was the same, except warmer. Perfect night, great cars, loads of fun. Everybody happy and laughing, even the few Hell's Angels who walked thru looked like starry-eyed kids!

(I'll probably die for that comment, huh?)
