I thought some of you "gearheads" might like this article. I have always had a love for small sports cars but I was just as interested in vintage trucks. I guess I still am. The Early Mack "B" model trucks and early Dodge Power Wagons are among my favorites. A while ago I had posted information on the GM "Futureliner", a streamlined art deco kind of promotional vehicle that GM used to tour the country, promoting GM's various products and technologies. One of them showed up at a Shriner's car show that I attended in Orange CT a while back and I can only say that I was blown away by this big unique vehicle. I believe they made 6 of them and I think 2 of them have been restored and made operational. Well, I just spotted this interesting article on another cool truck, a streamlined tanker truck built in the 1930's for Texaco. It's streamlined features share some design similarities to that of the "Futureliner" which I think make it really cool. Check it out. Never saw this truck before, neat! Looks like it's smiling doesn't it? I wonder where it and the other 5 ended up. Probably stashed in a building somewhere. Jay |

I like old trucks too btw, B model Macks for sure. I like the old REO delivery trucks too. |

John, Here are some photos of a Mac truck details, looks close to one you posted. They sure didn't spare the chrome on those beauties....Taken last Fall at the Danbury Mall Car Show, parked behind our Z's and 510's. Colin the older one
