Jay Leno has been knocked off his classic 1940 Indian motorcycle. He has a broken collar bone, ribs, and kneecaps. "But he's alright", according to him.

And now, they have CANCELLED his "Jay Leno's Garage" hit TV show.

About Thanksgiving time, Leno got doused with gasoline while working in his garage, then set alight. He sustained 2d and 3d degree burns to his hands, arms, and face and spent some time recovering in the horsepistol. A few years ago, he was a passenger in the 900-million horsepower "Hemi Under Glass" 1960s drag racing Funny Car when it rolled several times in a demonstration at Irwindale raceway.

Life Lesson #404: Even when you have more money than you can ever spend, things can go very wrong, quickly.

Just last summer, Jay horsed around with our member from Germany, Thorsten Link, at his Jay Leno's Garage.

I didn't hear about the rollover he was involved in, geez.

Yeah I was thinking he's having some tough luck lately. I've enjoyed many episodes of Leno's garage, and I have always related to his passion for automobiles. He strikes me as a pretty down to earth person, which I think could be tough to keep hold of when you have that kind of wealth and fame.

And it's real cool that he drives all his stuff, that's what it's for after all.

Our founder and President Emeritus Ross Williams had dinner with Jay once, and says the same thing about him you just said.

That's good to know.

You know the saying about not meeting your heroes because they will disappoint you? It's good to know that isn't the case with Jay Leno.
