76 year-old standup comedian Gallagher has died, and the world has become a darker place for the loss.
Everyone has memories of his wonderful showman smashing watermelons onto the front three rows of the audience with his oversized "Sledge-O-Matic" mallet.
This man was one of the very few comedians who could make me laugh to tears. Farewell Gallagher, and thanks for your 3,500+ great live performances over 45years. You have left us laughing.
