Actress Louise Fletcher has died in France at age 88.

Fletcher played the cold-as-ice Nurse Ratched in the 1975 "One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest". She was Jack Nicholson's dreaded nurse on the Psych ward he had been confined to. She played that role so effectively, everyone hated her and she won an Oscar for Best Actress. I'm sure she perfected that role by studying my 5th grade homeroom teacher, and Dick Chaney.

She also played in lots of TV westerns, some Star Trek episodes, and some Stephen King thrillers.
