For any of you old enough to have ever wondered what the heck The Association was singing about back in '66, here are the cosmic lyrics. Try to keep up.

:) I had the album, loved the song, but admittedly did not know all the words or what they meant..... and now, thanks to Frank, I still don't.

I guess "walking Mary" didn't help. :lol:

I’ve been hearing that song for decades and never knew half the words.
I just saw a great documentary on the LA based group of session musicians called the wrecking crew. They played the music for hundreds of hit songs in the 50-70’s with the most famous of them being Glen Campbell. They most likely played on that song too.

1966...A very good year...
Try to imagine... 3 guys bar hopping, stopped at the Nautalus on Reef Rd in Fairfield. One of the guys sits down a bit too quickly and hits his noggin on the makeshift indirect lighting. A pretty red headed nurse named Nancy came to his aid. We danced the night away and went for coffee at the Fairfield Diner. She learned I was not Catholic because I ordered a burger after midnight on Thursday. That was Sept 15, 1966. On Nov 17, 1966 we were engaged to marry and did so the following July 22, 1967. We are about to celebrate our 55th anniversary next month! I wouldn't have it any other way!
