Very cool! Love the way they kept the car "clean", no flares, scoops, or spoilers. Sounds mean!

I noticed that they must of "touched" the radiator at one point with the fan clutch. Something I have had previous experience with.

I also noticed at around 9:00 minutes in, no more oil pressure! Probably wire or sending unit issue .

Do you recall what the car ended up getting for power on the dyno?

Thanks Jay!

This is the conversion I have always said should have been possible.
The bullet-proof L-series straight six deserves a DOHC with hemispherical chambers and cross-flow induction/exhaust.

The Dyno showed 350rwhp, which should equate to about 375 brake HP.

I noticed the oil pressure drop off the map too, and that his clock doesn't work. Very early interior (maybe 1969, with both throttle and choke levers) and vertical defroster rear hatch glass, in a late 1971 or later body.

The Florida kid who created this head sells the basic unit for about $13,000. Then you have to buy your own twin cams, induction system and valve train. I think he supplies the custom headers, but the whole mess will cost you about $15,000 by the time it is functional.

Still......what else are you gonna do with $15K anyway?

I had the same issue with the fan John. It happened just a few weeks before the fall outing the year I was there. The fan blades actually punctured the radiator core causing a coolant leak. I managed to get a replacement Champion unit which ended up helping my Z run cooler as it worked out.

And yes, I love the sound of that car, I love the look too. It's really a beautiful machine.

Good pickup on the info Frank, as usual. It sounds like you are familiar with these heads already. I really only recently discovered them but they have enormous potential. I can think of far less entertaining ways to spend $15k. These heads look cool too.
