1991 Z32 NA Does anyone know of a company that sells polished power steering reservoirs? Also looking for a polished cap for the brake fluid reservoir. Can't find anyone who makes these. Thanks |

If you give up looking for a source to buy one new, you can always remove yours and have a shop polish it by hand for you. Here's a list: http://www.thomasnet.com/connecticut/al ... 859-1.html Here's a chrome unit for $75 in NJ, but it was listed two years ago. It just shows you someone does this stuff: http://www.twinturbo.net/nissan/300zx/f ... ipped.html |

Thanks for the replies- I have purchased numerous caps from ZTek but he doesn't carry the brake reservoir caps. Looks like polishing the power steering reservoir already in place might be the best bet! I tried to add a photo of my engine but I keep getting an error message. |

Roger that. We've recently switched website formats and I can no longer add photos to it, either. All mine come out the size of roadmaps regardless what I try, and the website simply rejects them. I'm just frustrated trying. It's good to hear you on here, tho. Where abouts are you, roughly? Frank T |

Hey Frank- I'm in East Haddam. I plan on attempting a plenum removal as I have the old style fuel injectors. Got the conversion kit from Z1- outrageous cost!! Looks like a big hassle to pull the plenum but it will give me an opportunity to finish polishing it. I have been polishing it in place, which made a huge difference, but you can't get all the tight spots. I figure it would be a good time to remove the power steering reservoir for polishing or replacement if I can find one already polished. |

Two words of caution: Make sure you know (and observe) the torque specs on the capscrews when you replace the plenum and; drain and replace the PS fluid as long as you've opened the whole system up anyway. To the best of my knowledge and belief, the PS system is self-purging so there's no bubble-chasing required after you've put it all back together, but I've only worked on a few of those "spaceship" cars, so I might be wrong. |

Check out ZSpec. Maybe they have something. The president of the ZCCA owns the LLC |
