Trying to remove door panels. Can't seem to remove inner door handle trim & plastic escutcheon insert. Diagram shows chrome trim, black plastic escutcheon insert and screw. Problem is I don't see any screw, have tried prying without getting too crazy, but having no luck. Seems so straight forward, but I'm getting nowhere. Anyone have any insight? Thanks - Harry

Harry The screw is hidden behind the black plastic insert. If I recall correctly there's a notch on the forward edge of the black plastic that will accept a tiny screwdriver to pop it off. Good luck. |

There is a clip on the backside you can't see, need special tool, or use a dental pick with hook to pull it out. There are some cars with a screw, I wish it was the case for all.

Finally got back to dismantling. Life just gets in the way, suppose that's one of the reasons why these projects take so long. Thanks for your help on the door handle question, interior is now all out.  Have a subsequent question on another topic that I'll' put in another post. |
