Hi everyone! We just picked up the Tribute car from the body shop today and didn't waste a second of time starting right in on assembly.. Our first 3 hours of work we installed the front and rear glass using new gaskets supplied by Mike Kay of Datsunlandsocal,, then we installed our Euro Tail lights, and moved onto installing our door latch assemblies using the new door handles supplied by Riley Curtis of Lynchburg Nissan in Virginia.. By the time we finished up it was going on 5pm and getting dark so we put the car in the garage for a good nights rest before digging in again tomorrow!! Oh Frank......... Guess what I got in the mail today.. Santa Frank, your the best.. You brought a tear to both my eyes with your wonderful card and memento of the glory years! I can't thank you enough, but know I'm planning something!! lol ;)

The top four events depict some hot rivalry btwn BSR and BRE during the early 1970s, driving the 510 cars.
PriZe money sounds small by today's standards, but bear in mind that in 1970, $500/month would feed and house a family of 3 who owned a '69 Dodge Charger and a 1961 BMW motorcycle.

Frank, the real question is, was there beer in mind as well, or only priZe money?

:P

March 3rd Restoration update! Hi everyone! What a winter we're having. It's really slowed my progress on completion of the BSR Tribute 510, but I've managed to push through the freezing cold and snow storms and still make steady but slower progress on the car. We're just finishing up the last of the system installs and getting ready now to do the driveline install. I still have a few parts on order and some being custom made before I can hit the key on this car and bring it to life again. Plans have changed for the engine as my friend Mario cooked his L18 back in November, and I loaned him my L18 that was earmarked for the Tribute car. I've had to dig out one my older L20b builds that I was saving for vintage racing. I wish I was able to finish this all up, and make trip up for April 3rd, but I know there's still 6-8 weeks of checks and tuning before I can make a road trip. Have fun guys and see you all soon! ;)
