Regards the powder coating. I would advise as follows. Powder is a resin and pigment system. The resin gels, flows and kicks over during the heating process. Most high performance polyester or urethane powders can cure at 370f to 400f 10 to 15 mins. at metal temp. There are lower curing powders, but they generally are hybrids with lower quality pigments, therefore, don't stand up to UV and corrosion very well. Stay away from epoxies for exterior use. Where are you located, I may be able to recommend a coater for you. While I like the flat black trim, I think those particular wheels look much better chrome. At the least, the rim should stay bright if the spokes go black. Jack |

Thanks for the all the feedback guys. I'm going to take r_3's advice and try plasti dip. I think it will look good, and it isn't permanent. When I get tired of it I can just peel it off. I don't need to damage any of my parts, actually and as a bonus the plasti dip will protect them all. I think for my situation it's the best option. r_3 this means I'm going to be keeping my rear bumper. Sorry. I'm sure one will pop up for you soon. I've had a lot of success posting in the parts wanted section on hybridz. Usually within a few weeks I get a pm from someone who has what I'm looking for. Thanks, Rob |

Auction Sniper is the way to go for Ebay auctions. No need to raise the price early, set Auction Sniper to automatically submit your bid within the last 5 seconds of the auction. Their servers even take into consideration how busy the EBay servers are and adjust the bid submittal time accordingly. It will monitor the auction and send you an email if your, as yet unsubmitted, max bid has already been surpassed. No worries about missing the auction end either. You just enter the maximum amount you are willing to spend on the item. Auction Sniper will submit the right amount up to your maximum for you to win the auction! I forget what they charge, which is based on the item price, but not expensive at all. |

Seth, I was looking for some parts I need and found another bumper. Have you seen this one? http://www.datsunclassifieds.com/auto-p ... ?highlight When I buy stuff on ebay I pretty much do what Auction sniper does for the most part, just manually. I don't bid at all until until the auction is almost over. When there's 15 to 30 seconds left I bid and put a maximum bid where if it sells for more I don't want it anyway. It has worked every time and I usually get the part for significantly less than my max bid amount. If it's a rare part my max bid is pretty high. I would rather pay a little too much than have to keeping looking. For common items I'm pretty cheap and looking for a deal. Rob |
