Nice color (lime green) for a Z isn't it.
Was that color ever in series?

Here's the chart of original colors from Carl's ZHome.com. The numbers are what's important. The names are not completely accurate (e.g. 920 was "Safari Gold", etc).

#113 Green Metallic looks close.

WOW!--both of those are really nice cars!! Thanks for sharing.

The Z in the picture Thor sent has me a little baffled; perhaps it is
the lighting which enhances the Z, but not my mind. My perception
is that that is a custom-mixed color, as I can't recall seeing any Z's
exactly that shade. Altenatively, it could be a color code #112 Lime,
offered in 1972-73, with the lighting affecting it. As an aside, Jeff
Mader, from some town up Boston way, has a ZCar in this color:
VIN#80428, 5/72, which is one of the rare (30-odd) factory resto
program cars. She is comparable to the car you see above, which
is why Jeff always has to plan for space under the hatch on his
return trip from an event, in order to haul all the new trophies home.

The Z in the picture Frank sent is definitely a #113 Metallic Green,
offered from 1972-73. But I never heard it called that; we always
referred to it as "avocado." Both the avocado and the lime were
"Love it or Hate it" colors; there weren't too many ambivalent
opinions. The avocado is my "saddest" shade, for when I was in
sales for Bob Sharp, I sold a particularly nice used example of a '73
in that color to my good friend and bowling buddy, Guy McKnight.
I guess it was too much car for Guy, as he soon totaled the Z,
getting killed in the process. I've had a lot of regrets and a severe
case of the "what-ifs" ever since........................

The car posted by Thor has been featured on the home page of Classic Z for a while - a VERY extensive resto-mod that came up on eBay with an asking price of $125,000 and may have sold for $85,000. Here is a link that has some additional details and pics, the article is from March, 2011. The eBay listing is long gone. As Rick said, I suspect it is a custom color - not from any of the factory palettes.

I can't add much to the conversation, but there is one on Ebay right now that looks very very similar to the one in THORZ's picture. It doesn't say anything about a re-paint; doesn't say it's original either. For what it's worth...
