Just underneath the 370z badge is a stamped metal badge from the
dealer.
Any suggestion how I can safely remove the badge?

If I had known they were going to put it on I would have refused.

It really take away from the Z's look.

Hi Mac, Rick here.
I don't think we've met yet, but I'm looking forward
to that time.

Give this a try (old auto body repair trick) for anything
"stuck" on (dealer advertising badges, decals, stick-on
side mouldings, etc). The same electric hair dryer
that your wife uses in the bathroom most every day
is the tool, and when you keep it out in the garage or
in the shop from now on..... well, we won't go there.

Don't try to do the whole thing all at once, though. Be
a little bit patient and start at one end or edge, pulling
upwards with the hand that isn't holding the hair dryer.
With the heat "melting" the stick-on goo and the upward
tension stretching the goo to the point of separation, it
will slowly peel right off without destroying the paint. A
little cleaning up with mineral spirits of any remaining
residue, a fresh application of wax over the area, and
you're good to go.
