Does anyone recogniZe the vented fender body kit in this video? It also has SIX louvers in each inspection lid. I don't speak Barbadosian so I don't know what they're saying. The tail lights look like 1970/71 but I can't zee the defroster wires in the hatch (maybe no defrosters in Barbados?), there are no 'wings' (thank goodness) and the vid says it has a smallblock Chevy in it.

Thanks ~

Frank

Other than to observe that a related video has a promo of 1972 260-Z.
A <<<1972>>> 260Z?
Must be pretty rare; I ain't never seen one-a them!

BTW the inspection lids are plain; the six louvers look to be cut into the
sides of a supplemental scoop on top of the original hood bubble.

If, however, anyone ever wants any louvers added to an inspection lid,
hood, or whatever, contact me. My friend, Art Johnson, builds hot rods--
Art has a louver press in his shop, and does quality work.

Hi Vince! Good to hear you in here again!

Yup ~ we're all familiar with your beauty. We talk about it a lot behind your back. :D

By the way, your car should be seen on TV tonight. Speed will show the Nashville 40th Anniversary Z fest from last summer.

Frank

Hi Frank, I hope all is well with everyone,I am excited to represent CTZCC on MyClassicCar this evening,I had worked on an extensive engine room refresh the week of Zcon & didnt sleep for 3 days straight to make it to the show so when I was approached for an interview I was surprised & delirious with lack of rest. From what I can remember it all went smooth.
I look forward to our next visit to CT when we can work it in!
Best Wishes To All! Vince Corry

"Extensive engine room refresh"???

What the heck was left to DO in there? It was outstanding last time I saw it, with a Bob Sharp Racing apron slung over the fender, if I recall correctly.

Well Frank when good is never good enough I decided I had to do the rotiserrie restoration I just didnt have the jig to give my Camel a spin so before Zcon 2010 I did a complete teardown interior, engine room, frt & rear suspension. I repainted the engine compartment, all new stainless brake & clutch piping, painted from the bottom gold stripe down including the front end (lower). Reworked the interior with all leather trim from a complete hide I selected at the leather wholesale outlet,I also decided to rework the T rods,4 new Koni's with Top End performance springs all new hardware ( replated from the Z guru my hero and good friend Jim Frederick) everywhere ,reworked the Mikuni 44's with new hardware and internals, upgraded the the hoses clamps, wiring, also made a few corrections with help from some very knowledgable 240Z owners I met at the Mitty last year who bought 240Z's from Bob Sharp with race for street setup's and clued me in on things like Mallory coils ect....What was even more interesting they informed me Sharp Nissan gave a "factory warranty" same as the Z's which were still bone stock...I was in disbelief...thats truly awesome!

Here's a link to the engine room refresh

By the way I forgot my center caps with the "Z" emblems, could not find my heater knobs & rear strut tower caps... but this was a major challenge!
I have since found & installed everything

No wonder you took all the marbles at Franklin!

It looks like you left the shock tower brace off? Any reason?
