What do you think about stripe kits for Z cars (early and current)?
I have seen a few early cars in Nashville with stripes at the doors. I'm on the fence. I found differences and think most of the aftermarket stripes do not look like those dealers applied in the 70s, right?

I just have to be different......at least when people drive by they know what it is, no one can see way down there unless it's parked somewhere's. So for $15 a kit, why not.

OK, getting back to Thor's original question.....

IMO, the stripes scream RETRO!!! And that is fine if that's the look you want for your car. The side stripes were a very common accessory for the Z back in the 70's. The modern versions are slightly different from the originals, but not really enough to care about.

A positive aspect of the modern version stripes is that vinyl technology has come so far, the stripes can be EASILY REMOVED!

Are you listening Paul???

The S30 Z is a classic. No window dressing required!
