In my search for my new z i have came across an ae for a reasonable price. The only problems with the car is it needs body work and paint. Now if i chose this car i will obviously be doing the work and getting it painted, but the question is would it be sacrilegious so to speak to get it painted any other color than the original silver/black?

Please pardon my ignorance, but what is an "ae?"
In Korean it is pronounced "eh" and means "love".................
I don't know about Japanese.......................

If you want it to retain it's maximum value as a limited edition car, then you must repaint it the way it was built at the factory.

If you just want to enjoy the ride, paint it whatever color you personally like.

Investment or a fun driver, it's up to you!

Personally, I wouldn't repaint an Anniversary Edition in anything but its original color. That would be like painting a Black Pearl white. It simply destroys the value of the car for what it is ~ a very limited edition made in a certain year to commemorate an anniversary.

If you just want to blast around in a ZX, why not just wait and find a normal ZX? The garden-variety ZX would be much cheaper than an AE anyway, and you might get lucky and find one which doesn't need painting.

Im just looking for another one to zoom around in. Value of the car is'nt a big deal to me,except sentimental, and plus if i got an ae i wouldnt plan on selling it ever :D I would most likely have it painted a dark blue,it would be an ae in disguise. But i get what frank is saying...kind of like painting a shiro special black,it just wouldnt be right. I guess for now im just going to keep looking and hopefully find a better deal. Wish me luck!
