Well I want to make a custom spoiler for my 240Z and so I drew a few sketched. Please provide you opinion as to which spoiler you like best or is the car better off without a spoiler or suggest a new design.

The spoiler will be made of fiber glass. I’ll first make a consumable mold out of Styrofoam and then glass over it.

The only spoilers which actually work on the back of a 240Z either have the side "ears" on them, or are elevated into the windstream like your #8 & #9. I never had enough problem with the back end of the car to deserve a spoiler (but the FRONT is an entirely different story  ). We had a lengthy discussion about spoilers in the APPEARANCE forum last year ~ you might enjoy some of the input there.

I don't spend enough time above 80mph to merit a rear spoiler, and I wonder about the issue of exhaust entering the cabin with a spoiler on. It took me long enough to conquer the exhaust leak problems WITHOUT a spoiler!

Here's an interesting approach from our 2008 Z Car Show (not mine). I suspect this one works really well if you leave the sunroof closed:

I would say the small little lip that has always been around would justify me. It's still available at MSA and I plan on getting one myself. Of course I'm not racing it either, I just like the look.

My vote goes for #5. I just like the looks of it.
