Post subject:  Looking for pictures of Z cars with WIRE WHEELS

I am trying to decide if I should buy some wire wheels from my 240Z.

If anyone has picture of a Z car with wire wheels please post. I really like wire wheels but am a little unsure as to whether or not they will look right on a Z.

I already saw that one; but it only shows a closeup of the wheel and not the whole car. I want to see a few good pictures of the entire car.

I love spokes, but hardly ever on a Z car.

This is the ONLY Z I've ever seen which looked "right" with wires ~ but MAN! It looked FANTASTIC. Looked even better in person than it does in the photo.

To show you how long I've been out of circulation: do you still have to
adjust the tension on the individual spokes every so often, like back in
ancient times when Frank had an Austin Helium, or are wires pretty
stable nowadays?..............Rick

Well after doing more research into wire wheels; I've decided they are going to be more trouble than they are worth.

Special thanx to Rick for bring the problems associated with wire wheels to my attention and preventing me from spending a good bit of money on something that would have required a lot more maintenance than I was aware off.

no kidding about the maintenance! I had wire wheels on an Austin Healey years ago and they were horrible to clean and horrible to keep straight.Back in the early '80's, it cost fifty bucks per wheel to have them straightened and trued.

Don't forget about our own, Tommy Sullivan. He runs wire-basket wheels. Same look, less maintenance.
