I tossed these on my old subaru...only because they were about 3 lbs lighter than other tires...and I had fun on them... daily driven.

cheap, better grip than expected, and light.

Ross your going to like those slots on your car. I have the original slot on my 240 and love them .. does anybody know of a really good aluminum
cleaner? Havin a hard time getting the shine back to them..

The ones on my car are aluminum (Alu-MINI-um, for our Australian members ), and I had a really rough time cleaning them up chemically. Eventually gave up and beadblasted each wheel, then washed and spraypainted them. Came out well and I wish I had done that first and not wasted so much time trying to clean them in other ways.

Something about 30-year-old brakedust getting embedded into the rough aluminum surface of the slots ~ it becomes sort of a "tattoo" in there and is impossible to get out. Blasting takes it right off and makes the whole surface look new again.

OK, so today was the big day. Four new Ansen Sprint slotted aluminum wheels and four new Bridgestone Potenza tires. I'll will always love (and keep) the original wheels but these bring a fresh new look to the car at a very reasonable price. What do you think?

Absolutely stunning!
I'm so glad Ansen still makes great wheels for these cars.

Keep away from the high curbs now, boss.

Thanks for all the compliments. Now that I have new tires I will be more confident in driving this car longer distances. The old tires were over 12 years old (and from Sears)! Can't wait to bring it to the next meeting.
