Welcome aboard!
You mean the gauges are mostly not working? Can you tell if the gauges themselves or the sending units are at fault?
Our Rhode Island member Paul has two of just about everything known to Nissan. He chimes in here on weekends.

Hello and Welcome. When "answering/responding" to someones comments you should try clicking the lower left hand corner of this/the box where it says "NEWREPLY" ( it's just to the right of the box that says "NEW TOPIC"). That way you can have smooth conversation back and forth with other members. We're all here to help and assist in anyway possible, plus, we enjoy putting our two cents in whenever we can. :D

You can find the digital dashboard on E-bay. I just bought one a month ago for under $100 to keep as a spare in case mine starts acting up. There's a few on there now and the prices can range from $100 - $450. The higher asking price units might say that they have been bench tested and are working properly while the "cheaper" ones might say "for parts only" because they don't know if they're working properly because they don't have a way of testing if it works. I can only suggest to you what I did. I zoomed in on all the photos provided, avoided the ones with screws that had rust on them, avoided the ones that showed tan scorch coloring on the bone colored plastic backside of the cluster and checked that the color coded quick connect plugs matched mine. No scratches on the lens and mileage on the analog odometer under 150,000 miles were other factors for me. The rest is a crap shoot, like going to the Casinos. I hope this helped you. Good luck.

Dave. My past experience looking for a digital dash cluster had shown that the 1984-1986 turbo and non-turbo were the same and interchangeable, whether they be part #'s starting with 17P00, 18P15, 19P15 followed by FL7... . The salvage yards will usually post a "fitment" chart to show the vehicles that the part will fit.

Show him a picture of your car Howie, and tell him how much work you had to put into it when you found it. 8)

Sorry for the HUMONGOUS picture of my 36,000 mile sweetheart. I can't figure out the process to scale it down either, like some other members.

Okay Frank. Sir. YES Sir. Frank wants me to say I bought my car in its present showroom condition and basically... that's a true statement. OEM gas tank float, rear shocks, torneau cover clips and about 30 hours of engine bay detailing and polishing. Done! 8) :D

More recent service: Timing belt, tensioner, water pump, belts, fluid changes, front and rear wheel bearings/races/grease seals. Zzoom. :D :D

Howie your Z looks great! I miss it!

Regarding attaching pictures, what I have done, sometimes even successfully  , is open up the picture in whatever photo app you have and go to settings or edit to "resize" the picture. For our website what seems to work best is "thumbnail size". Save it as a different name so you can find the resized picture, then attach it to your post. Frank is still using his Tandy 1000 PC so he's outa luck.

John thanks for that info. I tried shrinking the photo to its smallest size/thumbnail and got it maybe 3% smaller. My Mac doesn't want to let me make it smaller.  :(
