Hi Chris,

You need a 3.7:1 ratio for it to remain factory.

I have an open diff center (my old one, 90k miles), but not a spare pumpkin / ring & pinion. The input flange also needs to be rectangular pattern (not round) so it mates to your driveshaft, but you can use your old one.

Chris:
How much of a hurry are you for the pumpkin?
I have an 86na with an open 3.7 diff. I will be swapping out the 71c, drive shaft, and entire rear sub frame
assy. and pumpkin for a Z32 30A trans and 88T CLSD rear end. All parts are on hand and hope to get to it shortly.

Let me check to see when I can get on the shop lift. Both Z's are running but not DD's.

Haven't given any thought about the $. I will get back to you next week, just as soon as I get things sorted out.

Chris

It will probably be close to a month before I can get access to the lift and bay. It is currently being used for a redo on a Porsche.
When I do get it apart I plan on selling off the entire rear sub frame intact or in parts. The 3.7 diff is in excellent shape, partial rear polys, rotors were just turned, and reman loaded calipers were installed in August. Bilsteins and Eibachs NOT included.

I am negotiable on the money, if you are still interested.
LMK what you want to do.

Hey Paul do you happen to have any limited slip R180's or other than 3.73?

I only have the original out of my car. Clean and Painted, but I think it's the same ratio. Here's a thought.....If you stick with the R-180........The Nissan 720 Truck 4X4 has a R-180 front diff that is 4:11 gears. Never tried, but seamed like a good idea.

Wow that is a good idea.
Theoretically all 180's should be the same

If I recall, it looked identical except for a top mount piece that you wouldn't use, and I think you just need the Z cover so you can mount it to the mustache bar. The truck had CV's, and I never thought when I had them out to see if a Z shaft would fit in, or count the splines. And there is probably a bunch of those floating around out there. VS the R-200 4:11
