Has anyone gotten wheels repaired around CT? I have a bend on an outer lip :( that I need straightened out. Doesn't need to be 100% perfect, but would like it to be cheap (<100 would be great).

And/or has anyone tried a propane torch, block of wood, and hammer technique?

I haven't done any backyard repairs myself but ctwheelrepair.com does good work.

Pm me sir, I live in Windsor! We're too close not to know each other.

Wheel has been dropped off and will be done next week. Guy seems knowledgeable and the shop looks legit (for whatever that's worth  ). Will see how it comes out and will post up my findings.

My friend did that back in the 1960s once. He also cut a section of a steel barrel band (which held the steel top onto the steel barrel). I can't remember why he needed the band, but after repeated heatings and beatings, his rim was....'improved'....but not perfect.
Personally, I wouldn't trust my life and the lives of my passengers to any such process. Spend a buck and have a professional do it right. Right?

Wheel has been repaired on time and to my satisfaction, considering the bend in it this is fairly impressive. Worth the $ and worth my time, I recommend this guy. Some pretty cool cars there too...

approx at the 6 o'clock area. You can see some sort of needle dimpling on the lip where he had worked it, I'll be polishing the outer edges so it isn't a big deal

he charges $150 and up depending on damage, this one was $150. Not sure if he polishes them, might want to give him a call and see.
