I would like to purchase a valve cover from an s30 Z car. It does not have to look good, I want to clean it up and make it a garage/dorm room ornament.

Please PM me or post here if you have one!

Thanks!

Filipe

I have a spare one, but its black onyx ceramic coated and neglected. You can't have the elephant oil cap that goes with it, tho.... 8)

"Anything can be removed with enough explosives" (Elmo Haney, Gunnery Sergeant USMC, 5th Marines, 1st Marine Division WWI & WWII. Belleau Wood; Cape Gloucester [Silver Star]; Peleliu; Okinawa).

It's not *intended* to come off, and it cost a lot to have it put on, but you're free to try.

Cool. I'd be pretty interested in seeing what I can do/how it looks. Can you grab a pic when you're free?

I can't. I've used up all my Attachment allotment and the website won't let me print anything more until Jim waves his Magic Wand over my account. :?

Thanks Adam ~ I have issues with that and won't. I've asked our WebWiZard to extend my account here.

You can look at Adam's avatar photo. His is blacked out too, except he cleverly honed off the high surfaces for excellent contrast. Mine is all black but needs cleaning up. You *could* take the onyx coating off it, but it would be lots of work.

Does it says Nissan OHC on it?

If so, I'm interested. Let me know on the pricing.

I think it says something about "Rob Harp Racing" or something like that. 8)

Naw, really it says NISSAN OHC. The price is one U.S. SILVER DOLLAR. Any year, but must be a full-siZe silver dollar.

Get your own oil cap. The "710" elephant cap stays with me.

Haha, I asked because I saw one on Craigslist, but it didn't look like it had anything written on it.

Guess I should get on looking for a Silver dollar, ehh?

Yes Frank, I know. Oil cap stays with you.

That one says nissan ohc too. It's been sandblasted so it's hard to read. Nobody ever made a plain one, but there was a "Turbo" series and a series of "2400" cam covers and of course Bob Sharp Racing cam covers. Those are the rare units.

I see.

Yeah, I don't need anything fancy. Just something to display.

I'll let you know when I come across a silver dollar.
