Just gotta call around and keep your fingers crossed. I rely more on craigslist these days.

If you don't use list alert you need to get on it asap, It will send you an email with links anytime the keyword you chose is posted on cl.

The only one I know of is Chick's Used Auto Parts ("junkyard") up in Wallingford. He has several Zs in there and a ZX (and a Jaguar with bigger dual SUs still on it). He doesn't crush or stack his cars, but he parks them so close together it can be hard to get inside some of them.
Are you looking for any goodies in particular, or just Z-curious?

Wooops, guess I missed this.

Justin, is that a phone app or something?

Just Curious, Frank. Anytime you tear something down (even if it's broken already) you can learn something new.

Springtime is the perfect time to visit Chick's. I think we should gather a bunch of Z-heads and wander thru the place, while the mud is dry and before the bees start making hives in the cars.

Anybody up for a weekend road trip to Wallingford? Spend a few hours walking thru 5 acres of dead cars and see a few dead Zs?

Frank

I'm up for scoping out Chicks if someone wants to do a road trip. For some reason this statement rings like something I would say as a teenager or during my college fraternity years. Whatever, I'm game just tell me date and time :P

Let's move this forward or before we know it, spring will be over...

Several summers ago, I was fortunate enough to join Frank and a few other club members for a very interesting and educational afternoon at Chick's, with Frank as our tour guide and I couldn't imagine going back without him...so Frank, let's start with you: are you available on Saturday May 25th, say 1pm? A weekday may work for me, but I'm concerned that some out-of-towners (like Filipe) might not be able to make it.

hmmm....I may be able to make the road trip if family obligations don't take me elsewhere. Weekend is best for me of course. Though my wife is having surgery on the 21st so I may be so I may be agreeing to something that my wife will be giving me a not so nice stare. I will let you know.

Jim, I have nothing on the calendar for 1300 Sat/25May. I will call Chick's tho, to ensure their hours include that time and day.

We should get Ross to bring his Magic Wand to ensure it doesn't rain on our Junkyard Day.

And somebody call Bryan ~ he had a good time there too.

Adam, are you sure this isn't too soon? We wouldn't want you to have to sleep in the backyard..... :?

Filipe: Would the following Saturday (June 1) be better? After all, you started this thread, so let's try to find a date that would work for you. Plus, it would give Adam an extra week for his wife to recover.

Frank: Are you available on June 1 at 1300 hrs?

Once we firm up a date, we can post it under "Upcoming Events" and hopefully get a nice size group together.

June 15th is the earliest I'd be around, you guys should get out there ASAP, though!
