Has anyone gotten anything powder coated locally? Looking for a place that's cheap and good... :)

Not sure if I want to powder coat or just use a rattle can... depends on the cost difference I suppose.

Call Vinny Bedini's Z speed shop and ask him. He's got a source for powder and ceramic. Make sure you tell him you're a CTZCC member.

I'll give him a call this week; thanks Frank!

Filipe, I just need to get the centers repainted for these wheels, or powder coated. The factory paint is bubbly and there's some oxidation happening underneath.

Most shops that advertise powder coating are saying ~$50 per wheel... not sure if that's going to be much cheaper if I just want the center part done or not. Might have to end up using paint just for cost reasons and then powder coat at a later time.

They have a pretty cheap powder coating kit at harbor freight, I thought about getting it a few times.

I've had great results with duplicolor wheel paint...obviously not as good as powder coating but it'll do the job til then.

Internet hasn't been my friend tonight Frank, the pic didn't show when I first answered this.

Justin,

My dad is a painter at a local boarding school. I can ask him if he has access to a powder coating machine. If he does and is willing to help you out, I'll definitely let you know. Maybe we can do it when (if?) we tackle my T belt.

As I'm sure you're aware, prep work is key but is time consuming. You might be able to save some $$ on third-party powder coating if you tell them you will bring in the items fully prepped.
