Hello all! I need a source for the updated plastic floats for the SU carbs and also for new feed hoses from the float bowls to the jets.. I'm also in need of the the 4 small factory hose clamps for the jet hoses, and a set of Choke cable clamps that secure the cables to the carbs.. If anyone can give me any info on suppliers or supply or ( donate ;) lol ) these parts I would be extremely appreciative!! Many thanks, Dave Levinson, Phila.

You really need to know know about our member "Jimbo" Frederick, PreZident of Suncoast Z Club in Florida.

Jim owns what's probably the world's best collection of very early Zs. He restores or rebuilds them, and has truckloads of perfect NOS parts available for those who demand the best. He also owns car #00016, long thought to be the earliest surviving example from the first boatload, until we discovered #00013 here in CT.

If you don't already know Jim, here's an excellent introduction to his Z MECCA: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C1VSgKo12io

You can contact him directly: Jim240Z (at) AOL.com

He loves to talk Z cars.

Frank

Thanks again, always good to be reminded of our friends at Z Therapy! I know Bruce Palmer from my other club/forum but I'd like to find some other reliable or economical sources to price compare.. I also know Paulter the other re builder as I sold him plenty of Z car 46mm SU's in the past. Are there any other personal resources to call on? TIA, building on a budget, Dave ;)

Well, Vinny Bedini has a source, but he won't give it up. They did my own SUs and guarantee them for life, but Vinny still won't tell me who they are!!! He says if they ever fail, just being them to him and he'll return them.

You could ask him at 860.355.182nine, but he might not tell you who he uses.

It's apparently somebody who doesn't need any more business than they already have!!!

I'm still in need of the choke cable brackets guys.. If anyone has a old set of SUs laying around and can spare some brackets, please E-mail or call me.. I'm almost done with my rebuild and want to get this in a bolt on set up ready to go when the engine goes in.. TIA Dave Levinson, Family Classic Automotive
