Yeah, but you'll have to give it back as soon as the Zeason starts.....I can't drive without it.

Finding a STRAIGHT 240Z bumper is a challenge in itself, much less one with nice chrome and /or rubber strips as well. If you were to find one that nice, expect to pay $400-$500 at least.

A much better alternative is to go with the fiberglass bumpers from MSA. Cheap enough and can paint to suit. Or if you do find a straight bumper but in need of refinishing, grab it and consider powdercoating. Runs about $75. Rechroming a pair of 240Z bumpers can run in the $800-$1000 range not counting replacement rubber.

Also, the '73 bumper is slightly different from the '70-'72.

FWIW.....

I know and appreciate the advice. I had the fiberglass ones and decided to go the chrome route regardless of price. I just think it looks better on a dark car for contrast. I never plan on selling this car so its a long term investment.

There's a 1971 240 in a nearby junkyard which had the bumpers left on it last time I looked. Guess I should swing in there and zee if they've been taken yet or not.

Did you see this in "Cars and Parts For Sale, Trade or Free" on this Forum?

Photos show entire rear bumper intact and looks decent.

Good luck,
Chris

It's a nice day today. I'll swing into CHICK's and zee if that Z still has a rear bumper or not (I know we took the front one 2 yrs ago) and snap a picture of it for you, assuming i can reach it in this snow. If it's there, do you need the mounting brackets too?

I'm not going in there dressed to pull car partz in the snow; I'll just get prices and pictures today.

FT

Thanks that would be awesome. The brackets all depend on what kind of shape they are in. If they fall apart I can always make some or get some on ebay or something. Thanks again.
