It's a long shot but does anyone have or know anybody/anywhere that has these crown victoria mesh wheels? I want new wheels but don't have $1000+ to dish out right now..

Keep your eyes peeled for me!

Hey Justin,

I would say check some local yards... they seem like they should be easy to find around as they were used on various american cars.

They should be 16x7 +6... I had thought about using a set in the early days too!! Good taste. ;)

I also see these wheels on Zilvia quite often, but most of those listings are in SoCal.

Do you know how hard those are to clean?

Ask anyone with the 'honeycomb' wheels on the 280ZXT carz.

I found a bunch on Zilvia but as you said they are all in Cali.. hopefully shipping wont drain my pockets too bad. Thanks for the heads up :D

Hmm I hadn't really thought about the pain of cleaning them. My buddy spends a good 30+ mins each wheel on his E30. From Q-tips to a detail brush on a drill. Gotta pay the price to look good I guess

Shipping should be approx. $100.

In addition to crown vics, I believe they were also put on Grand Marquis in the early 90s.

EDIT: Just realized that is pretty dang far (but shipping is cheaper from there than from Cali).

There are a couple sets in MA and NH but nobody likes returning calls :x

Hopefully there's some local but if it comes down to it I guess I can get some shipped.

These might be the winners http://boston.craigslist.org/nos/ptd/3511386412.html even though they look filthy.

As long as they can be cleaned....

BTW, are you using Searchtempest.com? If not try it out, then thank Justin.

Looks like a great deal, Justin! Don't worry, they'll clean up nice! I am currently working on my starion wheels again, hehe... decided to put some elbow grease in it and finish them up nice. They'll probably be my daily driver wheels.

If the clearcoat is peeling, use aircraft stripper... I was stubborn and decided to sand mine off by hand and it has taken way too long...
