My Z is gone so I began the search for a Z31 recently . I'm being patient for the right one to come along as I do not want a project car . Is there anything in particular to keep an eye out for with these ? Jim

Well, I know many of them have had non-factory rust added to them over the years.......

Jim,
Rust is always a concern, very much like the s30's. Check under the rear tool tray area (pull up foam tool tray), in the spare tire well and the hidden spot: behind the front seats on the outermost corners. You will need to pull the carpet up to check this area.

Mechanically they are strong animals, if it runs and drives then it most likely will continue to. Verify that all electronics are working. Digi dash can be problematic and can the factory radios at this age. Most any mechanical/electrical part can be had through the usual networks. Also check to see if the injectors are pre or post campaign, pm me for details on this.

Please excuse the detailed info. Not sure of your Z31 familiarity and not intending to reiterate things which you may already know.
