Given my current bearing wear I think it might be time to rebuild a spare motor for backup.

So I'm looking for a 1981-83 280ZX L28/"F54" block complete with crank,, pistons, front cover, oilpan, etc. I don't need any of the injection parts, electronics or distributor, I don't even need the head. I'll be boring it out so mild cylinder scuffing is ok, my only real need is that the crank be in good shape. Anyone here in CT have a F54 motor available?

I DO have one of those blocks and all the parts in decent condition.... the only bad part about the crank is that one of the flywheel bolt hole threads is in bad shape, and it's one of my "backup" parts... still, if you're interested I have the whole thing, completely disassembled.

The engine in your car right now is not an F54 block, Mike.

That's why I originally said too bad he couldn't use mine. It's up for grabs if you want it still Bryan.

WHEN I get up to Poughkeepsie, I'm buying a 2.8 long block
from Mike Englehardt among other things. I don't know if it
is the F54 block or not, but that may be something of interest.

Thanks for the replies.

Based on my repairs I may not need one... we'll see.
