Anyone have some of these laying around? I need both shoulder belts and driverside lap belt with retractor. I think either side works, if some one could verify that. I could get MSA ones, but rather have the originals. Thanks.

Paul,
I may have a set(not sure if they wound up getting saved once the orange car went off to the wrecker), but don't know how comfortable I would feel using them in a life-or-death situation. If they are still around they came out of a late-72 build date 240, I will check next time I swing by AJ's.

If those were the straps which were in your partz car at AJ's, I watched them go that day I was there.

Hey ~ there's an issue about where the retractors get mounted. I seem to recall they mount above the driver's left ear, back by the quarter light window. Reverend recently installed a pair of MSA belts and the retractor ended up on the floor behind the seat, limiting his foot room.

I don't have retractables so I don't know for sure (and the first time I owned the Z it never had beltz), but aren't the spoolies supposed to mount up on the quarterlight area?

Well according to MSA, 69-71 is different from 72. My retractables are on the floor, and the holes are in the panel like Frank mentioned. I just don't know what the shoulder part looks like, if it has a retractor as well, not sure. I'm ok on the condition if they are of poor quality. It's all about Mr. Police officer seeing a seat belt on my shoulder. It's not a mandatory law here yet, but I sometimes go to these awsome Z events in CT, :D Visit family in N.Y. and go to a great Z show there as well and P.A, Mass, and I think the law is mandatory in those states. ZMAN, if they are from a 240 I'll take em, and whatever you need from me as well, thanks. It looks like I might make the next meeting if all goes well, so if your going..........

Our '72 is a partZ car, VIN and build date listed below.
I suppose that all '72's are the same, but this will help see
just how close a match we could get. If none of the previous
options pan out, let me know and I will un-bury the car to see
whether she still has belts, and if so in what condition.
(Un-bury, as in the reverse of hiding and camouflaging from
the zoning authorities' prying eyes)
