I think my 280z is going to be needing a tps sensor. The idle sometimes is bouncing up and down. I would like to replace it before it goes completely.

Are you sure its the TPS? There are several things that could cause this condition, one of the biggest being a vacuum leak somewhere in the system. Check all your lines, make sure nothing is disconnected. Check the auxiliary air regulator, make sure the throttle plate is clean... There are a lot of things to check. There is a manual out there on the internets that helped me immensely with my EFI problems with my stock system, and its affectionately called the "EFI Bible". I can't remember where I got it, but the link to download it is on HybridZ, I believe. Just about everything is covered there, from components and their functions to troubleshooting.
