Right now I'm hoping my friend can straigthen out my original tank. If not i'll look at alternatives. He swears he can "make it look like new".

Paul, no problem at all, you helped me out in a pinch!! I did get the replacement sender unit and a new windshield in the process!! If I end up not using your 79 tank, you can add it back to your parts inventory.

Mark, thanks for the offer!

Mike, I'll keep Zbarn in mind if it comes down to that.

Bump, I'm still looking for a good tank for my 280zxt. Looking forward to the summer weather and would like to be able to fill the tank more then 3/4's!

Phil, are the 280zxt tanks different than the N/A zx tanks?

EDIT: Just read the whole thread.

I have one you can have for free. Held a full tank without a problem.

Thanks for the responses! I never think of checking on Craigslist.

Filipe; the NA and turbo tanks are the same.

Andy, that sounds like an offer I can't pass up. I'm assuming your tank came out of the 79 280zx, is that correct? I know beggars can't be choosers, but what condition is the tank in? Has it already been removed from the car?

Yup, out of a 79. Its already out of the car. It's solid, no internal rust, held a fully topped of load of gas throughout the last race, only pulled it out to install a proper race fuel cell.

I may need the fuel pickup for my fuel cell, so if you can bring your old one, I won't need to pull it out of this tank.

shoot me a PM if you want to stop by and pick it up.

I want to thank Brotus7 for hooking me up with a good looking 280zx gas tank! A little clean up and paint and my Z should be able to enjoy a full tank of gas again!

I picked it up yesterday and got a tour of his 280zx Lemons racer. Very interesting build! Looks like it would be a hoot to drive out on the track!

Thanks again Brotus7!!
