Golden Wheels. Well, that sounds Chinese, somehow. Maybe Clay can trace them into the Orient.

I have to admit, they're beauties, and your car would be distinctive. You have to wonder tho, why only two were available. Maybe they were on the rear of a Z which couldn't stop in time to avoid an oncoming high curb? :x Or maybe the previous owner staggered wheel siZes and these were on the front?

I really like the safety ring which locks over the lug nutz. Looks good, and I can picture it preventing the lug nutz from backing out, and also delaying thieves long enough for you to reload.

Did you zee Carl's set of magnesium Minilites in another Post? If I wasn't such a nostalgia buff (5-slots), I'd jump on those myself.

Thanks Frank. I did check out Carl's Minilites. Very cool.

I think it is hilarious how the wheels in my pics have the tan details with the bright gold screw... Luckily my two wheels have the black details...

Hahaha, they are cool looking but I might end up putting the two on or near the car and hating them... hahaha. I hope that happens before I find the other two...

I'm just happy to be here.

Well, if you really like them but can't find another pair, you can always mount these two on one side of the car, and mount whatever else you find on the other side!

I knew a guy with a racecar who did that ~ painted it differently on either side. Depending on which side you looked at, you got an entirely different impression of the car. The only way you knew it was still him was by the numbers on the door.

You could jaZZ yours up really pretty on either side, then enter it in next year's Z Car Show and maybe win TWO TROPHIES! 8)

(or not. )

Marc ~ send a picture of those wheels to this guy and ask him which model they are. He deals in Goldens (among others):

So far no luck. I have tried 5 or 6 different places. I've got nothing but time... Plus I have 2 brand new GW wheels so eventually my plan will come together.

Have you asked AirJockie to research them for you? The man eats, sleeps and breathes wheels.

Your car will be ready before you know it, so you better get hot on these wheels!!!

Frank,

I let AJ, know that they are made in the US...plus all the other details. Honestly it may just be a while before I get more... We shall see.

I was eying a set of 5 slots the other day... I wanna be like Flashback in the meantime!

:-)

Hahaha - ok... I guess these wheels weren't popular with the Z set..

They are Golden Wheels circa 1993.

My problem is that I only have 2 of em, I wanted to see how rare they were b/c I am having trouble finding two more...

I couldn't help you on those...never saw them before.

Keep them around for full size spare's, or track wheels. They look cool, but I doubt they are rare or highly saught after.... unless they are super light weight....
