Dear friends,
a guy from Switzerland became the information about my classic-z import experience. He contacted me and told me that he is looking for a 240 or 260 z for some time past. May be we can help this friendly z-enthusiast. Has anyone a tip or knows about a nice car which is currently for sale? He wants to spend from 12 (.) to 15.000 Dollar.

ThankZ,

Thorsten

hey thorsten, saw your question about a zcar for sale. i have a early 260z with the small bumpers and 75,000 original miles. i have owned it for 15 years plus. lightly modified, but number matching. clean car with nice paint. not restored, just repaired as needed. look under member rides for mike260z. orange with black interior. need to get 8000.00 to let it go. have all stock parts to go with car plus some extras. mike

Michael, thanks. Nice car!
I asked the swiss guy. He told me he would prefer a manual transmission no automatic. Basically: How expensive is it to replace an automatic by a manual transmission?

Thorsten

Thorsten, I have had the pleasure of seeing this car up close in at
least 3 Club events. I didn't crawl underneath it, but I did observe
specific things topside, and was very impressed with both interior
and exterior. I didn't notice the paint code label; I think it is Code
#110 persimmon red, but seems to look more orange in certain
lighting. But it is gorgeous. I'm not saying you could eat off of it,
but if you did, you certainly wouldn't get sick!

Doing the swap is faily easy, should be able to do it in a few days taking your time. The worst part is the clutch pedel assembly and it's not as bad as some cars. Don't forget the console as well. Also, master and slave cyl and the line. You can also put a 5-speed in as well, and even upgrade the rear end. It's fun work. :D
