Hi,
I am looking for a Z (daily driver)
any 1st generation Z 70-78(must have 4 0r 5 spd)
or
280zx(must have T-Tops and 5 spd)
it can have rust and most of them do at least in my price range
as long as the frame rails are not completely shot.

my budget is unfortunately capped at $1000.00
so i know that what I might find , is going to be not pretty.

But I am willing to check out all offers.
thank you in advance
Jim Jackson

Clive (EVIL_Z) just picked up an all original February 1970 240Z for $1000 in New York ~ but we ain't got a SNOWBALL's chance of getting it off him!

Some people are just born lucky; the rest suffer.

For a daily driver, having T-tops and a price range of $1,000 is a slim chance, but very slightly possible. No T-tops will dramaticaly open up the options. Heck, if it's a daily, put a sunroof in it. If I see something I'll let you know.

I have a 89 4 runner... but the CG may be a bit high compared to what youre looking for.

I also have an 85 300zxt its all apart. I would part with it for 2k.

There is a 280Z I just spotted here in Old Saybrook with a For Sale sign in the window. I'll check it out tomorrow see what they want for it. I'll also take some pics.

Well, even though I had dreams of putting a 350 in it, I could part with it. I'll just put the 350 in my 240. (kidding Frank :D ) well put it in my 75 I suppose. It's originaly from Texas and the only rot spot is the spare tire well. There is no engine in it, but I can provide that and what ever other parts are needed, if I have it, it's yours, all part of the package. (and some rims as well ! ) I'm also trying to pick up a 83 parts car some distance away, (I talk to him every weekend to hopefully hold it for good weather pick up,) so then in return you could have the whole drive train out of it, that's the F54 block, 5-speed and R-200, 3.90. Shoot if you want the T-top roof as well, you can have that if your good at welding. I'm good at cutting it off. So there's my offer, it's not going anywhere's, but I need to concentrate on finishing the 3 Z's I have already, and would like to see my 79 go to a good home and be able to see it once in awile.

Jim,

Here are some photos of that 280Z 2+2 I see in Old Saybrook. There was no info on the car, but you can get the phone # off the sign. It is a manual and I could not quite see the mileage. If anyone calls the #, let us know the story.

Keith

I think he said there was only 80,000+ miles on her. Out of my price range and too far for me to go...........hope this helps anyone interested!! # is 860-334-2882.

I also spoke to the guy and said he does not know what the rust is like under the car.
not to mention he said there is a problem with the radiator and the heater, could be the heater core also
he's not sure
but for me its also a 1000.00 to much.

It's also a 2+2, which some people love and others love less. Ross

While I don't mind a 2+2 since I own one already and would not turn a Z down because of it, I'd prefer a 2 seater. BUT, if the price was right I'd hop on it in a heartbeat.
Jim

Hey Jim ~ I apologiZe for being a little off the subject, but since you own a RHD Fairlady, you can help us out.

Which door panel is the RHD car's build plate mounted to? All the LHD cars have them on the driver's (LH) door ~ do they reverse that for RHD cars?

Thnx/Frank
