Hi - I'm looking for a set of original, stock steel wheels for a 280Z. I suspect most everyone replaced theirs with a much more appealing set of alloy wheels and I just need a set in any shape. Thanks.

How is $5 a piece if you don't mind coming to get them, and do you want tires on them ?

Hi Paul,

The price is certainly fair if they are not dented or out of round. It's my son's car and I'll let him know that we may have found some. What part of RI are you in - we're in Chasrlestown. Please reply with your location and phone number. We're leaving for a long weekend trip tomorrow but will be back Tuesday. Thanks.

I'm in Middletown, next to Newport. The balancer I have at work can tell if a rim is out of round, so I can check. You probably don't want the tires anyways, so I might as well take them off. No rush, I'll need a little time.

P.S. The best ones are on the cars of course, I'm shure you want the least amount of rust. Also, are you going with the original hubcaps, what style do you have?

Sorry for the delay - we've been out of town. He's working on a set of hub caps for that year. Are the tires in any reasonable condition? He may want them just to move the car around until he finds the rims he wants. Thanks.

OOOOO, you just want some "dollie" wheels. Something to just move the car around and test drive? I have some with tires on that at least hold air. I would not drive on them unless just going down the street. (inventory) I have three 78 hubcaps, 1 full set of MSA rims, 14", and one full set of 82-83 turbo rims, 15", that have paint on them. Can be stripped, or paint your own color. So before I go removing tires, ("idea") maybe you can come out, see what I have and I can remove on the spot and give you a choice of what ones you want. Or, I can send pics. and time is no problem, I'm a busy guy, so patience is a virtue. So let me know, thanks, Paul.

Paul - you're very gracious and I appreciate all the options. Glad you're not in a hurry cause' it might be a couple weeks before we can come out to explore the options. I believe you earlier provided your phone number but if you could once again as well as an address we can map it for directions. Thanks.
