I contacted him, was willing to send a holding fee via pay-pal, and another one just disappeared on me. I give up.

As we all know by now, there are lots of scammers on eBay and other car sales. The scheme is to show a picture and description of a desirable car, offer it for a price 'too low to be true', and accept down-payments over PayPal. The car, of course, doesn't really exist (or isn't his to sell). So as soon as he has collected a few $300 "holding fees", he vanishes, untraceable.

A few years back, several of our own members discovered their Z cars "for sale" at very tempting prices. The photos were stolen from our own Members Rides forum.
