Hello everyone doing some cleaning out around the house and decided to part with some of the parts I have laying around. I have a set of su. Carbs with the linkages, I have an entire rear subframe with diff axles and brakes out of an '82 280zx 2+2, then a set of oem wheels and aftermarket wheels. Looking to get $200 for the carbs, $200 for the rear end, and $100 for each set of wheels. Everything is or best offer and I'm located in Thompson Ct. willing to meet up if it helps. Thanks for looking Chad.
So apparently since i haven't been on a forum in a while Photobucket has changed and isn't letting me upload photos and for my lack of tech skill I apologize I have pics of everything feel free to call or text me 860-933-9478. Sorry about that.

Are those round-top or flat-top SUs? (what year car are they off of)? And three-screw or 4 screw?

Might be interested in your OEM wheels if they are 5-slots?

Thanks,
Frank T

Spoke with Chad and he directed me to pictures of this gear on Craig's List:

Early 4-screw roundtop SUs! Just the thing everyone wants for replacing the flattops.

 Awwwww...shucks, you guys.

Just a word, Chad; you should probably specify in the Craig's List add that that rear section is out of a 2+2. That probably won't fit the zx sport coupe and is far more rare ("rarer"?). The zx 2+2 was such a special car, people have a hard time getting some parts for them, the interior and rear end especially. Might even be worth more than you're asking. 8)

Do you still have the carbs & will they work with an early 260? Currently flat tops that haven't been started/run in 20 years.

Direct answer is YES, the early roundtops are a bolt-on hookup on the 260 and they work great on my 280. In fact, the carbs themselves are often the only thing people swap on, not even removing the intake or linkage.

At any given moment, you can picture a line of hundreds of unsatisfied flat top owners waiting impatiently for a set of roundtops to become available, so the price of a complete roundtop unit reflects that low supply and high demand. Good luck finding another complete set for $200.

The rear end is the same as the coupe. Being it is out of a 2+2 the ratio is most likely 3.4, but worth knowing if it is a 3.9. Also the axles with the adapters can be used in the older Z's.

Hi Paul! I heard the wheelbase was longer on the 2+2 and the shocks and suspension parts were heavier to handle more weight directly over the pumpkin? Driveshaft, etc were not different? Correct me if that's wrong?

Longer driveshaft. The 9" was added right behind the seats. Shocks and springs might be heavier, but that's it. If you pull the sheet metal out of a coupe that holds the speakers and those storage buckets.....you can install the rear seat from a 2+2......been there done that.
