For sale is a set of 4- 15” 280 zx rims. They have tires on them but I wouldn’t drive on them as they’re probably 20 years old. All 4 caps are there, but one doesn’t stay put. $80 OBO

When I first got my Z back and was putting it back together to make it roadworthy, I saw a set of these swastika wheels for sale in Woodstock NY, a 3hr drive from where I live. I hated the weird aftermarket wheels my Z wore when it came back to me and couldn't find a set of 5-slots so I decided because Bryan Little wore these, I would buy a set of them too.

Drove all the way to Woodstock and wrestled for three hours with a deteriorated ZX turbo car which refused to lift off the ground because the jack kept punching thru the rust instead of raising the car. Clever owner and I finally rigged enough lumber supports (as opposed to lumbar supports) to get the car up one corner at a time. The 4 flat tires denied us access to either the front crossmember or the rear differential. We both tried to ignore the rather worrisome black bear which kept feeding at his bird feeder right there in the yard, maybe 20-30yrd from us. What bothered me most was that he got curious enough about us to stop eating every so often and just stare at us. He wasn't a huge bear but I wouldn't have wanted to have to fight him twice.

FINALLY got three corners up and three wheels off. The right front one gave me three bolts and the fourth bolt (the very last of 12 bolts in 3 hrs effort) spun freely and simply refused to give up the last wheel. I was exhausted, I was PO'd and I was worried about turning my back on that darned bear. Together we tried everything we could think of (including a torch and a heavy hammer) to get that stripped bolt off the wheel, but it simply wouldn't do anything but spin. Finally I told the guy I had no use for 3 wheels and stomped off to drive 3 hours back home, empty handed after a 9hr day.

I can't look at a set of swastika wheels now without reliving that nightmare.
Just thought I'd share.

Frank

I'm putting refurbished swastika wheels like these on my 280Z project but am in need of the center caps. Would you be willing to sell them separately?
