I have an 85 300zx 5 speed for sale. Was a customers car which was to be converted to turbo after a blown motor but customer ran out of money and I ran out time. 5 speed car, installed a motor from another Z with less mileage (approx 100K). Running & driving car but hasn't been on the road in several years. Timing belt and associated components done before dropping motor in, clutch looked to be recent so it was kept. Car has had lots of maintenence work done to it over the years, was well cared for by me prior to it sitting for a while. Has rust starting in the rockers and in the quarters. Has an extremely clean tan interior, headliner recovered in suede, aftermarket head unit with aftermarket speakers. Tires are good. Clean title, can provide Carfax. Will need some attention and minor finishing to be road ready. Located in Yonkers NY. Pics coming shortly...

These links don't appear to be working for me. :( I'm just getting "misdirected" and "error" messages when I click on them (even when I try to copy and paste the links into the search bar). Maybe you can find another way for members to view the car? :? :?:

Why do these great deals always come along when I have no more room for another car? :?

Looks pretty good. What do you think it would need, at this particular time, to make it safe and reliable enough to get it registered and on the road? Would you be able to post any pictures of the engine compartment that shows off your work?

Do all systems work as they're supposed to? A/C, Heat, Digital gauges, cruise control, power windows and locks? Is undercarriage dry or is there some leakage/seepage? Thank you.

Hi John. You would travel all of the way down to my neck of the woods from Rochester? You are definitely a Z car lover, through and through. I've been waiting for Gregmatic to answer my posts to see if I would want to proceed with requesting a meet and greet to inspect the Z.  :D

Howard: undercarriage is dry but there is definitely some rust. Digital dash power supply was repaired and work fine but dash does not display fuel level, other works fine. Heat works fine, power windows and locks work fine. AC comprsssor has been removed for motor install and will come with car along with lots of extra and spare parts. Cannot confirm function of cruise control but would presume it is not functioning.

Car has new or has had recently:
Radiator
Timing belt/water pump/tensioner etc
Turbo crossmember installed
Clutch master & slave cylinders
New coolant, brake fluid, clutch fluid, oil, gl4 tranny fluid, diff fluid was changed a few years ago
Brakes were New Years ago and likely have some surface rust. Will come with new pads and rear rotors
Had KYB rear shocks installed years ago (very few miles on them)

  . Would my friend need a trailer or would you be able to get it up and running for him? Parts and your labor to get it road worthy would, of course, be paid to you. Does it start and run now?

Congrats on the sale, I'm not surprised it went quick!
