I'm convinced these kits are built for Zs and ZXs which have just rusted away beyond help, but their drivetrain is still useable. Like Bob Sharp said, "metallurgy was never their strong point". The engine block, on the other hand, has such a high nickel content it will almost never die. Drivetrains are tough and if you have a replacement body designed to fit the car, you can "enjoy" it while longer (altho that's probably a generous term in this case).

I'm not sure what the punishment would be for any member to arrive at his Z meeting (not just this Club, but ANY Z club) in this kishmobile. I'd bet he'd never do it twice.
