I now understand the timing chain HAS been replaced. Also, the following work has been done since 2013:

•    Front calipers + guide pins                       
   
•    front brake hoses             
•    Rear calipers                             
•    Tranny service w/new ATF       
                               
•    Radiator hoses w/new Coolant

The car has driven about 5,000 miles since then.
