A disgrace to the marque is this exquisitely-restored April 1970 240Z. It's a disgrace only by being offered at the "steal-me-now" price of $28.5K. This one is not original, since the wheels, engine and gearbox have all been upgraded, but the original stuff comes with the car in case you want to revert it back to original stock. https://classics.autotrader.com/classic ... /100775232 |

Dad and I saw this car in-person last year (or was it 2 years ago?) at the LRP Historics, infield parking area. It was stunning. I hope he gets his asking price. |

Colin Elder, do you actually have personal photographs of every car on the East Coast? |

Yeah, but he's already been everyplace twice. Just once I'd like to talk about a car on here which he doesn't already know about, have pictures of, and know the owner's entire family! |

Well Frank it all began with the guy on the right side of the photo below, my Dad. Photo taken in the UK, Standard Triumph factory photo, early 50's. Then the car stuff just spread to the next two fella's in the 2nd photo Colin and me, 1968 Lime Rock. Now if I can just keep track of these photos...! I have some of those tools in the foreground including that Shelly screwdriver. Frank, can you name the car? Colin The older

Oh, wait ~ you might have meant the other one.... Well, solid wheels, free-standing headlamp pods, sloping radiator, suicide front doors, twin hood releases, piano hood, half runningboards and a trafficator. Probably a Renown. |

That car is worth every cent. In the not too distant future, it will be double that amount. |

You should know, John Yes Colin, I'm now quite certain it's a Triumph Renown from around 1950. https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/File ... _Lumix.jpg |
