I notice today that Danbury Motors (conveniently located in Danbury, on the same road as RDZ) is offering a pristine Oct70 240Z (#12343) for $28,000. It might be worth that much for the VIN number alone. I don't know this car, but some "90 yr old" owner has had it restored and, except for some funky cup holders (what's up with THAT?), the car looks incredible. Steering wheel needs rehab and the cargo carpet is worn, but overall the car looks excellent to outstanding. No framerail photos offered here. This car is not listed in Carl Beck's Internet Z Car Club registry, so I can't tell who it belonged to. It's offered by a car dealership now, and won't last long. Airconditioned car, offered at the beginning of the Zeason. Might even already be sold as you read this. When I first joined this Club 8yrs ago, the prices for restored 240Zs were approaching $30,000. The market crashed during the recession but it appears to be slowly building itself back up.
