Not bad at $7700, but it didn't make the reserve. Wonder what the
reserve $$$ was/is! I have to guess that it was pretty astronomical.
In any case, we know that Jimbo didn't buy it; as he told me when
he declined on #241 (I think it was), "naw, that's too high a VIN# for
me! (True story.)
I thought Carl had #587, which Carl and I thought might have been
the LAST of the 1969 production, based on all known information.
The car being in FL, I wonder whether Carl sold it to the guy, who
then "flipped" it. (Not as in "rollover."
) But due to the cessation of production in 12/69 due to the crankshaft vibration issue, I thought
it was more like 12, not 91, with 12/69 production date. In any case,
"they sho' warn't var minny of 'em!"
