It's about 400 miles from Hartford, in Martinsburg WV. Straight-line highway the whole distance. Hmmmmm........ 8)

The last time the Club had a 240Z parts car, it brought nearly $1,000 to the Club Kitty and helped keep more than 30 Series-1 and -2 cars on the road (and two racers on the track). We were selling parts to members (only) for cheap ~ no part under $5 and no part over $20. We earned more than $900 for the Club by parting that car out, and I still have some odd parts from it left today.

No telling how long ago that engine was rebuilt. I had a professionally-rebuilt L28 short block which had sat unused (never installed) for 19 years and had to be pulled down and rebuilt again to be useable.

I have the truck and trailer to go fetch this.....and the time, self employed. My fee would be $200 and the white interior, that's all I ask. Dropped off at your house, and don't have to lift a finger. Serious, let me know. I'd take it, but just low on funds at the moment, plus too many cars on my property as well.

Just spoke with Tom, who was the polite and knowledgeable young gentleman who is selling the car. He agrees it is probably rusted beyond restoration and is more likely a parts car. But he feels it is more than intact with a LOT of spares and the rebuilt engine turns over easily. He is confident the car will roll on the tires he has on it and will not pull apart if being winched up onto a trailer.

The car was last driven in the mid-'80s and then stored in a dry barn. Later developments caused it to be towed outside and left there for a number of harsh seasons, which of course was when the Tinworm found it.

There's only one more day left on this auction so copy his phone number if anybody's serious. (304.671.seven775). Tom sees Zs running thru his area all the time but has no idea how to contact them. If Paul wants $200 and Tom wants $800 we could have a 1972 parts car for $1000. Our last S30 car (Sep/71) brought just about $1000 to the Club, but I priced parts very very cheaply ($20 for the perfect rear hatch, $20 for the perfect windscreen, etc).

Might be worth considering.

Club parts car, who's in? If the car is divided up and donations made towards the parts wanted, could work. Example: John Doe wants that nice engine, and donates say $300 or whatever seems fair to the committee involved. SO on the way back I can drop off paid for parts as well. Just an Idea, but need first the money Broker to win the bid. Part donations can pay off money broker and some, and a little money for the club. But that's you business guys that do that stuff....I just got truck and trailer...."I just pick things up and Put them down." I just need $200 to go get it, and that just helps with gas. Of course the other side of the coin....Is it worth It? so evaluate first, any higher in price might not do.

I wonder what the 'winning' bid was?
I also now see the driver's door has been 'modified' using external objects of strength equal to or greater than 0.27" Japanese steel. Didn't notice that before.
There aren't a lot of parts I could use off a '72 240. Maybe the 5-slots, but he only shows 3 of those.
Wish there were more pictures.
