Hi all,

Not sure if this is allowed here, but i'm really looking to get into a 240z.

I have a turbo miata that has quite a bit of work into it, and i'd love to try to trade it for a one.

I've loved the z roadsters ever since my father had one when I was younger.

What kind of AutoX or club racing have you done with this, and how did it perform? We have a number of AutoX racers and track racers in this Club, and they're pretty happy with the way the Z performs in both types of racing. One of our guys just got picked up by Team Mazda to race the spec Miatas. He has two 2nd Places and a Win in his very first season (out of 5 races so far). The Miata can be made to move.

It defiantly handles amazing and is quite quick, i've done a few cartct events with it and get better every event. My driver skills are very novice.

The major issue i've had at autox is that I never decided on wheels/tires so grip is a problem. I know it will be night and day with a nice set of sticky tires on it. It's basically overpowered for the tires by a large margin currently.

So, you're looking for a nice S30 for trade? Some of our guyz have just sold some nice ones recently. :(

Yessir, should be noted i'm not expecting perfection - something fairly clean and running well is all.

Old or new?

By that I mean, 1970-78 (240/260/280) or one of the more luxurious Z31 or Z32 cars?

I'd prefer an early-mid 70's model. I prefer the look of the minimal lines and chrome/trim.

We let two 240Zs leave our Club just last month.
One had a Pontiac V8 in it and the other was mechanically perfectly rebuilt but needed paint and some TLC on the interior.
