Filipe,

The best cash offer I received before the auction's end was $7K. The new owner needs to pay for paint and a new interior, plus everybody wants a deal. Put money into your car because you love it and not because you think you will ever get it back.....

.........and now let your agony begin. I foresee you bolting upright from a deep sleep, gasping for breath and sweating, eyes wide and heart pounding because you just dreamt you sold your beloved 240Z....... :(
Oh, the howwoah, the howwoah.

Frrrrannnkkkkkk, HELP ME!... HELP ME!

I have this never-ending dream where I am chasing my old Z and my wife is chasing me. I never catch up to the Z but my wife keeps gaining on me.

 Ooooooohhhhh! You poor, wretched soul! Destined now to a life of guilt-ridden torture.
If ever there was a justification for self-destruction, surely you've found it.

Such is the price of foolish family responsibility at the expense of hedonistic self-indulgence. I'm so sorry for you, buddy ~ you'll be in my thoughts and prayers.

But Marc, truly it's better to have Zeed and lost, than never to have Zeed at all.

:(

Epilogue:

The car was shipped out to SoCal last week to a great home. I have asked the new owner to call me ASAP if he ever decides to sell it and to post pics here when the car is done. The new owner has lurked on this site a few times and will reveal himself eventually.

Thanks,
Marc

Well, at least you left the door open to get your baby back someday.
The new owner is sure gonna have a happy summer.

You need to re-think this.
....
When this auction works its way up to around $15,000 or $17,000 you're gonna run out of time or patience, or the stress of answering 100 questions each week will drive you nuts and you'll think "a bird in the hand" and finally say "SOLD!" and your beautiful car will be gone.....to some know-nothing kid who has more money than brains and watched Japanese street racers drift their Fairlady Zs in Tokyo on You Tube and thought it would be cool to own one of those 'pretty Z cars'. He'll wreck it and destroy all your hard work, and you'll spend his money in less time than you expect. The world will lose a Z car, your money will get spent, and then everybody has lost.
....

Frank I know you meant well but you were wrong on many fronts with this post. :-) Its been a while now and I have been in close contact with the new owner. I will let the pics speak for themselves as to what he's done with the car. Bottom line the Z brother/sister hood is wide and deep in the US of A baby! If I still owned the car it would still be sitting unloved and unused. My wife, I mean my lifestyle, doesn't allow me any time to enjoy such a thing.

Here are the pics:
